I specialize in trauma informed intervention strategies for children, youth, and adults. I have a passion for addressing systemic barriers that impact mental health and wellness outcomes. My clinical approach combines clinical rigor with a compassionate, person-centered focus ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and empowered throughout their healing journey. I have gained valuable experience working within First Nation Communities and am qualified in composing Veteran Affairs and Young Offenders assessments. I am a Level 1 &2 provincial Motivational Interviewer trainer for the Provine of New Brunswick. I worked in Pediatric Oncology and Forensics at the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax where I gained extensive experience working with children, youth & their families. In addition, I worked as an Emergency Room social worker at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Halifax, NS. I am a currently a Clinical Lead on the Addiction and Mental Health Services for Children & Youth team.
Over the years I have gained extensive trainings in a variety of interventions and clinical approaches. These clinical interventions include CBT, narrative therapy, solution focused treatment, trauma informed therapy, strengths perspective and others. I have extensive experience working with children, youth, and families as well as successfully working one on one with adult clients and couples.
